Between 2014 and 2015 the actual owner transfers Whitefin to Pisa, where the yacht undergoes a deep and accurate refurbishment. VELA, the prime italian magazine of sail, describes the refitting.
Top Yacht – 2008
After the 2002 refitting, the Italian boat magazine Top Yacht (n. 12/2008) dedicates a ten page article to the vessel and her latest owner, Mr. Alfredo Canessa.
Superyacht – 2000 and Omaggio Alla Vela – 2005
In recent years the boat was portayed in two books about the most beautiful and famous sailing boats of the world, Superyacht (2000) and Omaggio Alla Vela (2005), both published in Italy by Mondadori Electa.
SAIL – April 1984
From her launch in April 1984, Whitefin received immediate attention from the press, with a cover story seven page article on the American sailing boat magazine Sail.
WoodenBoat – March/April 1984
Whitefin was the largest wooden sloop to be built in 30 years.
